Hello Holy Trinity family and friends! Big news has developed in the progress of the repair and refresh project of our beloved church. The R & R committee has made a committment to contractor Kevin Autenrieb to begin the painting and plastering of the interior of the church! A start date has yet to be decided, however, this is still a huge step in the project. Parishioners will finally see some major work begin. This is also a very important time in this project because now more than ever, we need the money to keep coming in. Kevin Autenrieb expects to be paid on a timely cycle and financial support from the parish is greatly needed to keep our dreams of beautifying and restoring our church alive. Contributions as of April 25 are at $52,414.00. The committee's goal is to reach $130,000. The R & R committee is also in the process of setting a date with Kevin Autenrieb to come to Holy Trinity and present his sketch of what the church will look like after all work is complete. As soon as a date is agreed upon, there will be a notice in the bulletin and on this blog.
Also, volunteers are needed for several projects the committee is trying to complete without outside help. The exterior windows of the church need scraped, caulked and painted badly. A date for this work will be set in May. If you are interested in donating your time, the R & R committee would greatly appreciate it. Please contact Rob Holthaus at 325-4092.
Volunteers are also being asked to help our young artist Travis Norville with the Stations of the Cross. Travis needs people to prepare the Stations before he can paint them. Volunteers are asked to use a dremel tool to smooth down the Stations so Travis can go right to re-painting them. If you have a dremel, that is great. If not, a few will be on site to use. Several afternoon dates will be set for volunteers to help. If you can help, contact Nancy Mateer at 259-3117.
