The St. Boniface statue was taken from Holy Trinity's basement and will be relocated to Edwardsville.
SueAnn Unser volunteered her time and talents to scrape and paint all of the railings surrounding the church and rectory. She also painted the railing around Fr. Marty's front entrance to his house. Volunteers continue to work hard to beautify Holy Trinity.
After sanding down a station, Samantha Walton uses a leaf blower to blow off all the paint chips.
Volunteers took the stations they were working on to the basement after rain forced them inside. Sheryl Coady, Steve Curtin, Kate DeClerk and Samantha Walton along with Nancy Mateer (not pictured) completed 2 stations last Wednesday night.
Holy Trinity was abuzz last week as Trimble workers continued work on the roof and steeple, volunteers sanded and primed more stations, and exterior hand rails were painted. Parishioners also have another busy week ahead of them as preparations for the annual Steak Dinner are being made that will take place on August 1. Indoor set up is planned for Wednesay, July 28 at 6 p.m. and outdoor set up will be Saturday, July 31 at 8 a.m. Any help would be greatly appreciated by the parish! The Steak Dinner will be a huge fundraising opportunity for the R & R project so everyone is encouraged to participate and come on out for a delicious steak!
