Fish Fry!

The 8th annual Holy Trinity Fish Fry was a success again this year. The dinner made over $800 for the Maitenance Fund and served up over 200 meals. Approximately 125 pounds of fish was fried up for the event and lines started forming at 4:45 p.m. for the 5 - 7 serving time.

People came from all over the area to feast on the fish. Attendees included people from Taylorville, Morrisonville, Palmer and Decatur.

Holy Trinity thanks everyone for all the help and for supporting our First Friday Fish Fry!!

Fish Fry!

The Enlow and Mizuer family enjoy the fish fry surrounded by family on Friday, February 24.

The Peabody family got their places at a table early at the Fish Fry. Serving was from 5 - 7 pm, but lines started forming at 4:45 for the famous feast put on by Holy Trinity.

The 8th annual fish fry was happy to enjoy a steady stream of hungry customers for the 2 hours of serving.

Carol DeClerck, Nancy Mateer and Carolou Mormon help serve up fish, coleslaw and beans while parishioners and village residents move down the serving line.

Almost 200 meals were served at the fish fry, including 45 carry out requests.

40 Bags in 40 Days

Still don't know what your Lenten resolution is going to be? The ladies of the Altar and Rosary Society have a good idea. They are encouraging the act of "40 bags in 40 days." It's a simple practice that anyone can do and is a rewarding Lenten sacrifice. This simple idea is a committment to rid your house, car, garage, etc. of items you don't need and place all the things in a bag to either give away to charity or dispose of. The 40 bags can be small or large, depending on your needs. Some items that you could think about 'bagging' are: cloths, shoes, books, toys, candles, canned goods, blankets, and coats. This is a great way to get rid of all the excess in your life. Lent is a time to celebrate the only true gift in your life, the gift of God's love.
